Stapelia grandiflora Flowering 2018 4K Video

Stapelia invaded by giant flies

The stapelia has produced another massive flower. As you can see it has attracted all the flies in Surrey. This plant imitates a piece of steak to attract the flies so that it get pollinated. Smells horrible as well. Thankfully the flower only lasts a couple of days.

Gymnocalycium oenanthemum Gymnocalycium oenanthemum and Gymnocalycium ragonesei 2018 Hot summer - cactus plants flowering abundantly. The first cactus may be a Gymnocalycium baldianum "dwarf chin cactus", not too sure how to tell the difference.
